About Carsten Weiss - C2W Corp. Founder & CEO 

Carsten Weiss was born and raised in Lorrach, Germany. There, he earned a degree In metal design and fabrication. In 1986 he studied lighting design at the Hebbel Theater in Berlin.

Since he was a child, he loved sports. He was part of the town of Lorrach ski team and won three school championships. His passion was playing soccer, and was offered a semi pro contract for FCAARAU in Switzerland which he declined in order for him to pursue his interest in the theater working world. 

From 1987 to 1988 he worked at the Scala Theater scene shop in Basel, Switzerland. While studying he did lighting design for kids shows, ballet shows (Nabuco, Swan Lake), and swiss comedy shows traveling all over Germany and Switzerland. 

He then got into musical tours, and was on tour all over Europe from 1988 till 1993. He did lighting design for Hair, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Golden Musicals of Broadway, and West Side Story.

While on tour, working with american producers an opportunity opened for him to work in the USA. He arrived to the USA in 1993 and started working at Madison Square Garden and other concert venues in New York City. 

Immediately seduced by the dynamism and diversity in the business he started honing his skills in the field of rigging, from special events, concerts, corporate, convention, TV, to movies and permanent installations. 

He worked for Local 1 and F and D Productions. In 2003 he founded his own rigging company C2W Corp. 

Ever since, he had the great honor to provide services to companies such as DPS, Atomic, Taite, Beame, PEDG, AEG, Live Nation, Production Glue, Satis and Fi, Viacom, MTV, CNT, Univision, Comedy Central, BET, Victoria Secret and 2XD.
